Cava Brut Reserva Mont-Ferrant – Parxet
Spain / Penedès (Barcelona) / 70% Xarel-lo, 30% Macabeo / Organic
Tight dry cava with a fresh/creamy mousse. Lots of citrus, fruit and light flint.
The vineyards at an altitude of 200 meters. The soil consists of clay and lime. The vines are between 10 and 60 years old. Hand-picked, whole bunches are gently pressed, temperature controlled at 16°C, 15 months on RSV. Green Cava seal stands for Reserva, aged for at least 15 months.
Delicious as an aperitif.
Valencia tinto “Monastrell” 2020 – Casa los Frailes
Spain / Valencia / 100% Monastrell / Biodynamic
Of the 7 red wines of Los Frailes, the ‘Monastrell’ is the lightest. Not so juicy, but a classic Monastrell style with beautiful (light) herbs, cherries, and a hint of balsamic. Light red for Spanish standards.
Pairs well with: Aperitif or rice and pasta dishes.
